Russia uses all available means to fight Ukraine. In particular, she does not shun the language issue, discriminating against Ukrainians for the nightingale.
This was announced on Channel 24 by Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Taras Kremen. He noted that active work is now underway to document such crimes of the enemy.
A tool in war
According to him, if you look at the program articles on the so-called “denazification” on the one hand, and on the genocide of the Ukrainian people on the other, this is additional confirmation that there is a struggle against the Ukrainian language. The Ombudsman stressed that such actions of the enemy are the subject of consideration by international courts.
Russia uses language as a tool in war, Kremen emphasized.
He noted that that they are already actively collecting materials related to linguocide, that is, discrimination against Ukrainian citizens on the basis of language. First of all, such crimes concern:
- applicants for education;
- teaching workers;
- cultural spheres;
- general information spheres etc.
Where to report such crimes
Kremen noted that they collect all the facts of linguocide in Ukraine and attach them to the material that is now being formed against Russia. In addition, he urged to report such facts on the official website of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language.
