However, unfortunately, there is a risk that Severodonetsk will be completely taken into the ring. Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told Channel 24 about this.

According to him, there is no direct threat. The enemy is not moving forward, and the Ukrainian military reaches almost the center of the city and conduct sorties. Our defenders are conducting a very active defense.

Even these attempts to encircle Lisichansk in order to encircle these cities together are not being made. And today's day (on June 17 – channel 24) showed that the Russian troops did not carry out active assault operations, – Zhdanov noted.

And the Armed Forces of Ukraine very tightly brought down the offensive pace of the Russian troops.

“But this threat (to encircle Severodonetsk – Channel 24) exists. As I understand it, Russia will not spare either equipment or personnel. Their they will attack the last soldier as long as they have the opportunity,” the expert said.

Moreover, the invaders are now moving their forces there in other directions. This is already a political task, Zhdanov added.

Is there a risk of a complete encirclement of Severodonetsk? The battle between the invaders and the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues.

As a result of enemy attacks in Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, 6 civilians were killed. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to oust the Russians from Zolote.

At the same time, in the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian military repelled an enemy assault in the direction of Zolote. The enemy was forced to withdraw. The invaders tried to advance in the direction of Vasilievka and Berestovoye, but subsequently disappeared.

And in the Yuzhnobuzh direction, the enemy attacked 16 settlements with artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. However, Ukrainian aviation delivered strikes against concentrations of Russians in the Kherson, Kakhovka and Berislav districts of the Kherson region.
