Russian Ambassador to Great Britain Andrei Kelin called on NATO to stop teaching Moscow “how to behave”, noting that the worst outcome that could come from the upcoming Russia-NATO talks is a repetition of old positions. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“What will be the outcome of tomorrow's negotiations – the worst if, as has happened in the past few years, there will be a repetition of the old NATO positions, but the NATO-Russia Council was not created for this. It was created to discuss and find solutions, find common points, ”the Russian Ambassador said.

He also stressed that, despite this, in recent years, negotiations between the Russian Federation and the alliance boiled down to the fact that NATO taught Russia “how to behave.”

Earlier, the political strategist Marat Bashirov said that the talks between Russia and NATO, which will take place on January 12, are unlikely to lead to an agreement. He suggested that based on their results, Russia would take military-technical measures. After that, the parties will need time to realize the new reality, and new negotiations will begin in a year or two.
