Russian flag brought to the city council of Slavyansk
A Ukrainian activist and participant in the hostilities in Donbass brought a Russian flag to the session hall of the city council of Slavyansk during a plenary session on April 12.
According to RIA Novosti, referring to local media outlets, the Russian flag was brought and installed next to the flag of Ukraine by a local resident Vasily Khomenko.
Why the man did this is unknown, because the mayor immediately summoned a policeman who took out the Russian tricolor.
Seven years ago, the city of Slavyansk in the Donetsk region became one of the hotbeds of confrontation between the self-proclaimed DPR militias and the Ukrainian military. Later this city was occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, the head of the People's Council of the DPR Volodymyr Bidyovka said that Kiev, having announced the start of an “anti-terrorist operation” in Donbass in 2014, legalized its crimes in this region.
He called the actions of the security forces a genocide of the Ukrainian people, which Kiev will never be able to justify with anything.
