Russian military defuse 6 thousand ammunition in Karabakh

About 200 hectares of the territory were cleared by Russian sappers in Nagorno-Karabakh, the military neutralized more than 6 thousand explosives, TASS reports.

According to Dmitry Perepelkin, deputy head of the Center (Reconciliation of the Parties) of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, sappers of the Humanitarian Demining Center have cleared 195 hectares of territory and 60 km of roads from unexploded mines and shells.

He also added that the Russian military had checked 405 buildings for unexploded ordnance.

Physicians from the Russian Federation provided assistance to 558 local residents, including 67 children.
