Russian Su-27 intercepts American reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea
A Russian Su-27 fighter flew to intercept a US Air Force (Air Force) reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea. On Saturday, November 28, RIA Novosti reports.
“The crew of the Russian fighter identified the aerial target as a US Air Force RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft and escorted it over the Black Sea,” the Russian National Defense Control Center said in a statement.
After the foreign military plane turned around and headed in the opposite direction from the border, the Russian fighter returned to the base. No border violations were allowed.
It is also noted that the flight of the Russian interceptor took place in accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
In October, it was reported that a Russian Su-27 had intercepted US and German aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
