Russian tourists can apply for a visa to Thailand
Russian citizens have the opportunity to apply for a tourist visa to Thailand – this was reported by the Kingdom's Foreign Ministry, TASS reports.
“Any tourists can apply for a TR visa from November 2, 2020. It does not depend on the epidemiological situation in the country, ”the Foreign Ministry said.
TR visa allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days, it can be extended for 30 days.
To obtain such a visa, you must provide a copy of a six-month bank statement containing the equivalent of 500,000 baht (16,500 USD) in local currency. You will also need medical insurance in the amount of up to 400 thousand baht (13.2 thousand dollars), an insurance policy for the treatment of coronavirus for 3 million baht (100 thousand dollars), a document confirming a reservation in a paid quarantine in the amount of 28 to 290 thousand baht (928-9.6 thousand dollars).
After receiving a TR visa and an entry permit, it is necessary to take a coronavirus test 72 hours before departure and submit the result along with other documents at the airport of departure. You can arrive in the kingdom by private jet, charter or export flight.
Earlier, the WHO included Thailand in the list of countries most prepared for the coronavirus pandemic.
