The player of the youth hockey team “Omskie hastreby” Timofey Davydov hit his opponent from the team “Kuznetskie Medvedi” Demid Panichkin on the ice. The victim was hospitalized, according to the Telegram channel Mash.

Six minutes before the end of the match, a scuffle began at the gate, during which Panichkin fell. Davydov hit his head on the ice, after which the Bears player lost consciousness. Doctors of the Children's City Hospital No. 3 diagnosed the victim with a craniocerebral injury.

After that, Kuznetskiye Medvedi refused to participate in the second match against the Hawks. In addition, as reported on the website of the youth hockey league, Davydov was disqualified for four matches and fined.

Earlier it was reported that the National Hockey League (NHL) banned Russian Washington Capitals players from training and playing for violating medical protocols related to the coronavirus. The list included team captain Alexander Ovechkin, as well as forward Yevgeny Kuznetsov, defender Dmitry Orlov and goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov.
