On June 10, 2021, Russians will be able to see a unique phenomenon – a partial solar eclipse, and an annular eclipse will be seen in one of the regions – Yakutia. Oleg Ugolnikov, an astronomer, senior researcher at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about this.
According to him, in Moscow in the middle of the eclipse, the Moon will block 27% of the diameter of the Sun, which will look like a bitten off apple.
– The nearest eclipse will happen on June 10. A partial eclipse will be visible from the territory of Russia, and, moreover, from almost the entire territory of our country, with the exception of the Far East, – the words of the scientist RIA Novosti are quoted.
As the site kp.ru wrote, the maximum phase of the solar eclipse on June 10, when the Moon is too far from the Earth and does not completely cover the Sun, leaving a ring of light around the dark disk, will occur at 13:43 Moscow time.
