A large-scale international conference on the restoration of Ukraine has started in Lugano, Switzerland. Representatives of 40 countries and 18 organizations are planning to take part there.
The conference started today, July 4th. It will last 2 days. This is a large-scale event at which the Ukrainian side will present a plan for the restoration of Ukraine, try to establish new partnerships and get new interaction between countries and cities.
An ecosystem of a rehabilitation center will be created in Lviv ” Indestructible”
Mayor of Lvov will speak at the press conference. During his speech, Sadovy will talk about the role of the city in the victory and the creation of the Indestructible ecosystem.
Today or tomorrow, together with the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Prime Minister, we are working at an international donor conference in Lugano, Switzerland… For the first time since February 24, I left Lviv and Ukraine. A very unusual feeling. At the border crossing you involuntarily feel like a fugitive. Despite the fact that there is a war at home in this forum, we all need to be in person. I would say precisely because there is a war at home, we must work these 2 days here to the fullest so as not to lose any opportunity for Ukraine,” said Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy.
Who else will speak at the conference in Lugano< /h3>
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will personally take part in the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will also speak there, addressing the participants via video link. British Foreign Minister Liz Truss will also speak there. In his speech at the conference, Truss will say that the UK will position itself as a key partner for Ukraine in the reconstruction process.
By the way, this conference is planned to be held even before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Only she should consider the progress in reforming in Ukraine. But now the participants will focus on plans for post-war reconstruction. The conference should become an impetus for the creation of an international platform for the restoration of Ukraine.
