Samsung has unveiled its new Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor. The main feature of the novelty is a curved LED screen with a resolution of 5120 by 1440 pixels, an aspect ratio of 32×9 and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The manufacturer used the same technologies to create the display as in its Samsung Neo QLED TVs. The company will open pre-orders for the monitor in the United States on July 29, the device will cost $ 2,499 (approximately 185,000 rubles).
The 49-inch display of the Odyssey Neo G9 contains microscopic Quantum Mini LEDs and is 40 times smaller than traditional emitters. Thanks to this, much more LEDs fit into the matrix, dark areas on the screen look even darker, and light areas – brighter.
The display supports a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 millisecond. The bending radius of the monitor is 100 centimeters. Odyssey Neo G9 has received TV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification for the minimum emission of blue light hazardous to humans.
Odyssey Neo G9 comes with support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync, HDR10 + and DisplayHDR 600 gaming technologies. They allow for dynamic and smooth frame changes without image blur. For connection, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors will be used. The monitor will go on sale on August 9th.
