The Russian invaders are deporting the local population of the Kherson region, placing them in sanatoriums, boarding houses and recreation centers, which are not used for their intended purpose as a result of the failure of the Russian authorities to restore order in their country. Having unleashed an unnecessary war for no one, Russia destroyed the fate of thousands of people, depriving them of their homes and a happy life.

This was told to Channel 24 by the head of the Joint Press Center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South, Natalya Gumenyuk. According to her, the invaders are moving a lot of the local population, taking advantage of the fact that the South is a resort region.

The local population as a human shield

Natalya Gumenyuk said that the Russian invaders, during their escapes from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, involve the local population in order to use them as human shields. They settle civilians in recreation centers and sanatoriums, but they themselves are also based in them.

“They have civilians on the upper floors, and base their command posts on the lower floors, placing military equipment around the territory,” said Natalya Gumenyuk.

Invaders shell the right bank of the Kherson region

The head of the Joint Press Center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South noted that over the past 24 hours, the Russians have resorted to shelling the right bank of the Kherson region and shelling from the territory of the Kinburn Spit. As a result of these attacks, more than 10 houses were destroyed and 1 civilian was injured.

This indicates that the shelling is carpet, not absolutely not selective, not related to attacks on military facilities, but simply an act of terrorism, because Kherson itself and adjacent settlements are being shelled,” Gumenyuk noted.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue combat work and try to repulse the territory used by the enemy for the location of artillery installations and MLRS in order to push them as far as possible in order to make life easier for the inhabitants of the right bank.

According to Natalia Gumenyuk, this is not an easy job, because the rashists are hiding behind the local population of the left bank and continue to terrorize them with shelling, and then in propaganda they say that it was done by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Despite the fact that Natalia Gumenyuk noted that people who are in the occupied part of the Kherson region understand what is happening and provide materials so that the Ukrainian media cover the whole essence of the crimes of the occupying forces.
