On August 5, the Russian occupiers fired at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, which they seized back in March. The Office of the President reacted to this terrible act of terror.
Sanctions for Russia's nuclear industry
Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak called what is happening at the Zaporozhye NPP real nuclear terrorism from Russia.
Russia's entire nuclear industry should be under sanctions, and Russia itself should be on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. Yermak stressed.
Responded to such atrocities and his adviser Mikhail Podolyak.
“This Saturday morning in many European cities became possible because yesterday the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant miraculously did not take off into the air. Russia has seized the station and is staging dangerous provocations,” he said.
Podolyak argues that organizations such as the IAEA and the UN should strongly demand that Russia withdraw from the nuclear power plant and transfer it under the control of a special commission.
- ZNPP has been occupied for 5 months already. British intelligence said that during this time the intentions of the Russians remain unclear. Why does the enemy need a station when he uses it for other purposes is unclear. What the invaders did and are doing on the territory of the station could undermine the safety of its normal operation.
- Also, during August 5, the Russians fired twice at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which they occupied in the spring. This further exacerbates concerns about its occupation. And before the cynical shelling of the nuclear power plant, representatives of Rosatom left it.
- Subsequently, it became known that the Russians purposefully beat them along the highway, which supplies hydrogen to the Zaporizhzhya NPP. The media also said that the station could be mined. After all, there was suspicious activity of the invaders.
