In the Odessa region, a 37-year-old man committed public self-arson. Now doctors are fighting for his life.
The incident took place in the center of the city of Podolsk. The man approached the police station, doused himself with a flammable substance and set himself on fire.
Witnesses of self-ignition were not only local residents, but also employees of a security company passing by.
Having a fire extinguisher with them, caring men put out the flames and called the 103 line.
What could be the reason
Passers-by noticed the not quite adequate behavior of a 37-year-old man a few minutes before setting himself on fire.
According to preliminary information, he could be under the influence of drugs.
Law enforcement officers established that the victim was a resident of the Kuyalnitskaya OTG. Why the man chose the police station as the place for committing self-ignition is still unknown.
