The SBU neutralized three schemes for evading mobilization in Kyiv, as well as in the Lviv and Zakarpattia regions. Among the detainees is an official from the Ministry of Defense.

The SBU blocked three schemes for evading Ukrainian citizens from mobilization during the war. Five organizers of the deals were reported on suspicion.

Suspects face up to 5 years in prison

The suspects, for money, offered those liable for military service to avoid mobilization on the basis of false documents or by illegally leaving Ukraine. The cost of “services” amounted to 9 thousand dollars.

In Kyiv, the SBU, together with the DBR, detained the deputy head of one of the departments of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who organized the illegal execution of documents to remove citizens from military registration.

To implement the criminal mechanism, he used his connections in the TCC and joint ventures in several regions.

In the Transcarpathian region, two residents of the Beregovsky district were exposed. One of the defendants is previously convicted for illegal transportation of persons across the state border.

The attackers planned to transport their “clients” outside the established checkpoints in their own cars.

In the Lviv region, three businessmen were detained who offered the evaders to flee abroad as drivers of international transportation.

All defendants have been informed of suspicion of illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine. The suspects face imprisonment for a period of three to five years.

The DBR reported that a colonel from the Ministry of Defense had been detained.
