This was announced by the head of the ENT, Irina Grimak, during the session on Thursday, March 30. The deputies asked about the fate of Vasylina Sofranyuk during the consideration of the approval of the Anti-Corruption Program of the Lviv Regional Council for 2023-2025.

Sofranyuk continues to work in the Lviv Regional Council

Vasilina Sofranyuk got into a public scandal because she was given a pass to travel by car on the pedestrian Rynok Square.

The head of the LOR, Irina Grimak, said that Sofranyuk had been applied disciplinary action in the form of a reprimand. Thus, the worker of the regional council was punished for violating moral and ethical standards.

In addition, according to Grimak, this reprimand and the overall performance of Sofranyuk will be taken into account during the re-certification of council employees.

30-year-old Vasylina Sofranyuk works in the Lviv Regional Council as the chief specialist of the department of humanitarian policy and international cooperation. She is also an assistant to Andriy Duma, European Solidarity MP.

What is known about the Sofranyuk scandal

In January 2023, Roman Pilipenko, being head of the patrol police of the Lviv region, presented Sofranyuk with a red pass for passing through the pedestrian Rynok Square in Lviv.

An employee of the ENT boasted a gift on social networks. The video quickly spread across the network and caused outrage among people.

The story was publicized, as a result of which Roman Pylypenko lost his post as head of the patrol police of the Lviv region. He was transferred to work as deputy head of the patrol police in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

It turned out that the pass that Sofranyuk had been given was invalid. The Lviv City Council said that the pass turned out to be an old model.
