We need to establish a dialogue with Russia, including in the Normandy format. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for the settlement of differences, he is quoted by TASS.

According to him, the West is ready to negotiate with Russia on security issues. All diplomatic channels should be used to resolve differences, the chancellor believes.

“We need to support diplomacy as much as possible, but not be naive,” he said, stressing that the Normandy format is critical to resolving the crisis in Ukraine.

Scholz noted that one should not expect quick success in negotiations with Russia on security issues.

Earlier, the office of the President of Ukraine reported that Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, February 19, would hold meetings in Munich with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
