Scientists have named the hottest year on the planet in recent times

Scientists analyzed the width of tree rings in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth and determined the warmest year in the last two thousand years.

The hottest weather was in 2012, writes TASS. Then the average temperature on the planet increased by 0.8 degrees Celsius.

The year 536 was recognized as the coldest year. It was characterized by a decrease in temperature of 1.55 degrees Celsius. This has been associated with major volcanic eruptions. But the increase in temperature is associated with global warming and an increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

German researchers recently announced at the 12th Petersberg Climate Dialogue that global temperatures could rise by 2.4 degrees Celsius by the end of the century.
