Seismologist who predicted tragedy in Turkey warns of 'mega-earthquake' in Russia

The scientist predicts a very strong seismic event in the first week of March.

Dutch scientist Frank Hougerbits, who predicted devastating tremors in Turkey and Syria, said Russia would suffer from a “mega-earthquake”.

Such a forecast appeared on his YouTube channel Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS).

According to the scientist, during the first week of March, a “mega-earthquake” with a magnitude of 8.5 or higher could occur on Earth.

“Much more pronounced wobbles again marked the western Pacific. From Kamchatka, the Kuril Islands and Japan in the north, through the Philippines, and through Sulawesi, Halmahera, and perhaps even across the Banda Sea, Indonesia. In any of these areas, March 3 or 4 may something significant is going to happen,” Hoogerbits said.

He emphasized that a strong or very strong seismic event can be observed in the first week of March.

“This is something that should alert everyone. If you are in an earthquake-prone area, you always need a contingency plan. When the ground starts to shake, you should be able to get out of your house or building very quickly. It will save a life,” the scientist explained.

According to Russian propagandists, Russian experts criticized the researcher's statements. Director of the Institute of Earthquake Prediction Theory and Mathematical Geophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Pyotr Shebalin called him a soothsayer by the stars, not a scientist. Director of the Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences Daniil Chebrov assured that there were no signs of an earthquake on the peninsula.

Recall that three days before the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, Frank Hougerbits warned of the disaster on his Twitter page.
