Hollywood star Sharon Stone accused her own grandfather of sexual abuse. The artist spoke about this in an interview with The New York Times, dedicated to the upcoming release of her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice.

In the book, Stone writes that at a young age, along with her sister Kelly, she was sexually abused by her maternal grandfather. Discussing this confession in an interview, the actress stated that she and Kelly made the decision to publicize the incident together. “We talked to our mother, and at first she took it very stoically, wrote me a letter in which she said that this information was confusing to her,” Stone said.

The actress added that after completing the book, she read it out loud to her mother. “I had a cold then, I was in bed. When I finished reading, she climbed into my bed, and I wrote down an hour and a half of her stories. And then I rewrote most of the book. Then she dedicated her to her mother, ”she admitted.

Earlier in March, Stone revealed how she was tricked into doing the iconic scene in Paul Verhoeven's Basic Instinct without underwear.
