There is information that Slovakia should provide Soviet T-72 tanks. However, it became known that Ukraine will receive 30 infantry fighting vehicles.

This was announced on August 23 during the summit of the Crimean platform by the President of Slovakia, Zuzana Chaputova, reports Channel 24 .

Germany will provide weapons to Slovakia

Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy noted that they would not stop supporting Ukraine. Instead of infantry fighting vehicles, Slovakia will receive weapons from Germany.

The Second Crimean Platform Summit was held on August 23 in an online format. It was opened by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba. About 60 countries took part in the summit.

Despite the online format, Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv. He noted that some countries silently agreed with the occupation of Crimea. Duda called for the dismantling of Nord Stream 2.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stressed that the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014. He assured that he would continue to tighten sanctions against the aggressor.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he would never recognize Crimea, Donbas and Luhansk regions as Russian territories. He noted that it is Russia that is to blame for the food crisis in the world.
