Southern California was transferred to self-isolation

Due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the San Joaquin Valley, as well as all of Southern California, including the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Barbara, have been transferred to self-isolation.

Along with self-isolation and the mandatory wearing of masks, museums, bars, beauty salons, as well as playgrounds and amusement parks are closing in most of the state. Restaurants will be able to work only for takeaway and delivery. Stores will be able to continue to operate in limited mode.

About 27 million people were in the zone of new restrictive measures. The quarantine will be valid for at least three weeks, and will cover the Christmas period.

This decision was made due to the fact that the vacancy rate in hospitals fell below 15 percent: in Southern California, the figure is at around 12.5 percent, and in the San Joaquin Valley – 8.6 percent.
