Stoltenberg assessed the risk of using Russian nuclear weapons:

NATO is closely following the actions of the Kremlin.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed the opinion that the risk of using a nuclear weapons by aggressive Russia is small. However, he emphasizes, the Kremlin's “nuclear rhetoric” is irresponsible and dangerous.

Stoltenberg said this in an interview with the German edition of Welt.

“The risk of using nuclear weapons is small. But Russian nuclear rhetoric is absolutely irresponsible and dangerous. Russia must know that a nuclear war cannot be won and therefore cannot be waged,” the Secretary General said.

According to him, NATO is closely monitoring the actions of the Kremlin. So far, there has been no change in Russian nuclear forces.

“If that were the case, we would certainly react. But even if we allow Russia to blackmail us with this rhetoric, the world will become more dangerous. Then Russia will come up with this nuclear threat when he wants to achieve something,” said Jens Stoltenber.

Recall that Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Vadim Skibitsky said that nuclear weapons carriers are in Russian-occupied Crimea. This is a tactical nuclear weapon made during the Soviet Union.
