NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that against the background of the escalation of the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian border, the continuation of diplomatic negotiations in the Normandy format are especially important.
He said this during a briefing on December 10.
– We welcome the dialogue between President Biden and President Putin, as well as the efforts to convene a new meeting in the Normandy format, because the dialogue is even more important when tensions are high, Stoltenberg said.
As a reminder, President Zelensky agreed with French President Emmanuel Macron to unblock the Normandy format and the work of the TCG.
On December 9, Ukraine in the OSCE announced steps to break the deadlock that arose in negotiations on the settlement of the armed conflict started by Russia.
