Tanker fire breaks out in Syrian port of Baniyas after drone attack

In Syria, in the port of Baniyas (35 km north of Tartus), after a drone attack, a fire broke out in the hold of one of the oil tankers. As reported by the SANA agency, this was announced by the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources of Syria.

The ministry said in a statement that the unmanned aerial vehicle appeared in the sky from the Lebanese maritime space.

“Rescue services are trying to localize the oil ignition,” the document says.
