At the same time, he expressed his conviction that the decision on tanks for Ukraine will be made in the near future, but recalled that it remains with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Recall that the day before in the German Bundestag, the parties could not put the issue to a vote on the provision of modern Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Several factions opposed.

Even before the meeting in Ramstein, the American media, citing sources, reported that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, at a meeting with Pistorius, could not agree on the transfer Ukraine Leopard 2 tanks.
