Thailand calls condition for travel permit

Thailand has opened the borders for tourists to enter the country who have at least 500 thousand baht (1.3 million rubles) in their bank account. This is reported by the Travel Off Path portal.

Tourists can obtain a TR visa. It is issued for 60 days with the possibility of extension for another 30 days.

Also, tourists need a visa worth € 30-40 and insurance for at least $ 100 thousand for the entire period of stay in Thailand. It must cover the costs of treating coronavirus infection.

In addition, when entering Thailand, all foreigners must be provided with a negative PCR test for coronavirus, after which they must be tested again at the airport and go to a two-week quarantine.

The Thai consulate in Moscow told TASS news agency that Russian tourists are not yet issued TR visas. The embassy also noted that Russia is not included in the list of countries with a favorable epidemic situation for coronavirus.

Russia suspended international traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of March. In August, against the background of a decrease in the number of people infected with coronavirus, flights to other countries gradually began to resume. At the moment, you can fly from Russia to Turkey, Great Britain, Tanzania, Switzerland, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea, Japan, Cuba, Serbia. The government also decided to resume flights with Ethiopia and the Seychelles.
