Zelensky posthumously awarded Da Vinci with the Military Merit Cross
Volodymyr Zelensky, on the day of farewell to Da Vinci, posthumously awarded the Hero with the Combat Merit Cross. The Ukrainian leader handed over the award to Oksana Kotsyubaylo, the mother of a warrior.
The Ukrainian leader said goodbye to “Da Vinci” in St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral. There was a memorial service. Together with Zelensky, the last respect for Da Vinci was given by Sanna Marin, the Prime Minister of Finland.
The President stressed that it hurts to lose heroes: brave, courageous and strong. Faithful to themselves and Ukraine. Zelensky said that “Da Vinci” was a volunteer, a man-symbol, a man-courage.
