The national futsal team of Ukraine in the 1/4 finals of Euro 2022 unexpectedly passed a strong team of Kazakhstan and became a semi-finalist of the tournament.

Now the blue-yellows are waiting for a meeting with the winner of the Russia –Georgia pair. The captain of the Ukrainian national futsal team, Petr Shoturma, spoke about the likely next opponent in the semifinals.

– Russia or Georgia? We’ll see who the opponent will be. We will play with such dedication as with Kazakhstan, we will give everything for our Ukraine—” said the 29-year-old captain of the national team of Ukraine.

On January 31, the Ukrainian national team beat Kazakhstan 5-3 in the quarterfinals of the European Championship.

The wards of Alexander Kosenko will compete with the winner of the Russia – Georgia match, which will take place on February 1, for reaching the final of the tournament. The undisputed favorite of this match is the Russians.

The semifinal match with the participation of Ukraine will be held on Friday, February 4.

The 2022 European Futsal Championship is hosted by the Netherlands. It started on January 19 and will last until February 6. The matches take place in Amsterdam and Groningen.
