The man, who declared himself the “chairman” of the Cossack Lopan and helped the Russian troops, was informed of suspicion.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office informed the Ukrainian in absentia of suspicion on the fact of high treason and collaboration activities.
According to the investigation, in Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkiv region, a man went over to the Russian enemy and voluntarily received the position of “head of the administration of the village of Kazachya Lopan, Kharkiv region.”
The suspect provided assistance members of the military formations of the Russian Federation to search in Kazachya Lopan for persons who participated in ATO/JFO, local volunteers and activists. He organized the provision of Russian military personnel with special equipment for the construction of checkpoints, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
It is known that he agitated local residents for a loyal attitude towards the occupying forces and the aggressor country of Russia.
He also informed the Russian media about the possibility of holding a referendum in the territories occupied by Russian military personnel.
