What is the situation at the front

According to him, now, most likely, the Russians are throwing the forces that they have to defend the temporarily occupied borders in the South . They're going to fight back there.

Also, they can't take down all the forces in the East . Of course, a combat-ready army was left in the direction of Bakhmut to also attack there.

At the same time, opportunities are opening up for the Ukrainian defense forces in the South. The same is true of the positions on the Izyum-Kharkiv direction. They succeeded in pushing back the line of collision somewhat and pushing out the enemy, Musienko said. It is even possible that they managed to interrupt the logistical support of the enemy.

The defeat of the Russians

The fact is that it was in the direction of Izyum that almost the most combat-ready units of the Russian troops overturned. They quite actively developed offensive operations in the direction of Slavyansk. Part went to Izyum – Barvenkovo.

The elite of the Russian forces did not succeed in the Izyum direction. They were held back, driven back. And now there are even some prerequisites for pushing them further,” Musienko said.

Note that the Institute for the Study of War recently reported that the Russian occupiers began to roll over their troops across the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can launch a counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region. We are talking about the Izyum direction.
