The Kremlin reacted to the eviction of monks from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov complains that this allegedly justifies the so-called “special operation”.

The Kremlin decided to take advantage of this situation and perverted it to its advantage in order to justify the continuation of the so-called “special operation.” During a conversation with propaganda journalists, Peskov said that the Ukrainian authorities were allegedly acting illegally, evicting representatives of the UOC-MP from the Lavra, Channel 24 informs.

A new portion of insanity from Peskov

Peskov decided to comment on the “harassment” of the clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kyiv. In his opinion, the decision not to renew the lease to the monks of the Lavra signals “the correctness of the special operation in Ukraine.”

The main mouthpiece of the Kremlin said that by such actions the Ukrainian authorities allegedly encroached on the church.

The dictator's spokesman was also indignant that the world community did not respond properly to the eviction of the monks. He believes that Ukraine should have been “condemned for the oppression of the monks of the UOC-MP.” However, Peskov decided not to mention how Russian “agents in cassocks” work in favor of the Kremlin. Only yesterday, on March 16, the rector of the temple of the UOC-MP received a suspicion from the SBU for inciting religious hatred. According to investigators, he repeatedly offended the feelings of Ukrainian parishioners.

At the same time, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov states that it is surprising to call representatives of the UOC-MP “clergy” because they support terrorism, the killing of children and women, and other terrorist acts.

Eviction of monks from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

• On March 10, the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve sent a warning to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (Male Monastery) of the UOC-MP about the termination of the Agreement on the gratuitous use of religious buildings and other property that is state property. Thus, the monks are forced to leave the territory of the Lavra.
