On March 16, 2022, Russia launched an airstrike on the Drama Theater in Mariupol. They tried to save hundreds of Ukrainians from Russian occupiers.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid tribute to the victims on the morning of the anniversary of the tragedy. The Ukrainian leader stressed that a year ago, Russia purposefully dropped a super-powerful bomb on the Drama Theater in the center of Mariupol.

Zelensky stressed that hundreds of people were hiding from shelling in the Drama Theater. Near the building put the inscription “Children”. The Russian occupiers could not fail to notice her.

Step by step, we are moving towards ensuring the full responsibility of the terrorist state for what has been committed against our country, our people,” the Ukrainian leader said.

He added that the occupiers will not be forgiven for a single ruined fate. Ukraine remembers everyone whose lives were claimed by the terror of the terrorist country.
