The Falcon 9 launch vehicle with the Dragon spacecraft successfully launched from the Florida cosmodrome

On Sunday, August 29, the US company SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket with the Dragon spacecraft, which is supposed to deliver cargo for the crew of the International Space Station (ISS).

The launch of the spacecraft as part of the ISS replenishment company took place from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral, located in the US state of Florida, on August 29 at 03:14 am US East Coast time (10:14 Moscow time). According to the plans, Dragon's docking with the station should be made automatically on Monday, August 30, at 11:00 (18:00 Moscow time).

After the launch, SpaceX also plans to carry out a guided landing of the first stage of the launch vehicle on a floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean. Previously, this element of the Falcon 9 was used in three space launches.

As a reminder, today, on August 29, it became known that Roscosmos plans to launch ten Russian meteorological satellites by 2027.
