ISW stated that the impulse of the Russian occupiers towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka has been exhausted. Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine are reaching a climax, and then, apparently, minor advances will continue.

In the material of ISW – the American Institute for the Study of War – it is said that the Russians boasted of military victories, recalling Novoluhansk and Uglegorsk TPP. After many weeks of battles, the enemy strengthened its control around water bodies.

The invaders tried to advance towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. But the enemy cannot achieve any success.

The ISW called the large-scale problem of the occupiers

The ISW noted that the situation around Bakhmut and Avdiivka demonstrates a fundamental Russian problem: the occupiers cannot turn tactical achievements into operational successes. Invaders don't know how to take advantage. During this time, the heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine manage to restore defensive positions.

According to ISW, the Russians will not be able to move forward and boast of the captured territories in the coming months.

Russian forces are likely to remain unable to allocate enough resources to any offensive operation to restore the momentum necessary for a significant territorial advance that will lead to the success of the operation, the message says.< /p>

The Russian invaders in Ukraine are suffering colossal losses. As of August 21, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 45,200 liquidated invaders. In addition, it was possible to destroy:
