In the evening of August 18, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy was trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut direction with offensive and assault actions.

The invaders wanted to advance from the areas of Vladimirovka, Pokrovsky, Klinovoye, Semigorye and Golmovsky in the direction of the city of Bakhmut. But the enemy had no success and retreated.

The invaders fired at settlements in the Bakhmut direction

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported shelling from the Russians in the Bakhmut direction. the invaders opened fire from tanks and artillery of various types.

The enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Soledar, Zaitsevo, Yakovlevka, Kodema, Belogorovka, Vershina and Zaliznoye.

In addition, the invaders used aircraft to strike at the areas of Soledar, Bakhmut, Yakovlevka, Zaitsev, Pokrovsky, Vesela Dolina and Belogorovka.

The enemy wants to capture Bakhmut
