The Japanese have learned to eliminate radiation with the help of pork bones

Japanese scientists have found a way to eliminate radiation using pork bones. This is an urgent work against the background of the country's actions to eliminate the consequences of the accident at Fukushima-1.

As noted by RIA Novosti, the new method makes it possible to efficiently absorb strontium. Strontium has radioactive isotopes that negatively affect the human body. The fact is that apatite, which is the main inorganic component of human bones and teeth, is capable of absorbing strontium.

Scientists have processed pork bones in a special way to increase the absorption of strontium 20 times compared to other adsorbents.

Researchers believe that their technology can be applied to dismantle reactors at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant. It can also be used to clean contaminated soil under reactors.
