The liberation of Crimea is inevitable: what Putin wanted to demonstrate with a visit to the peninsula

According to Russian media, on the anniversary of the occupation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin visited the temporarily occupied peninsula. But the Russian dictator decided to do it spontaneously.

Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, stated this in a commentary on Channel 24 . According to him, some experts argue that it was not the president of the aggressor country himself, but his double.

“Be that as it may, it is clear that Crimea exists for Putin, remains a sacred topic, thanks to which he still wants to mobilize Russian society,” he said.

Chubarov is convinced that after the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of the Russian dictator by the International Criminal Court, Putin should appear somewhere ostensibly in public. They say that the local Gauleiter of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, admitted that they had been waiting until the last moment for the inclusion of the President of Russia via video link.

And he showed up. This was decided at the last minute. He is trying to demonstrate to the world that this issued arrest warrant means nothing to him,” said the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.

The safety of the Russian dictator

Refat Chubarov noted that Vladimir Putin took off from Crimea from an airfield near Sevastopol Belbek. In his opinion, the place of arrival and departure of the President of Russia was not chosen by chance, because this airfield is now a military one.

“He is completely undercover, protected by the Russian Black Sea Fleet. I think that all the power of the Russian occupying army was aimed at ensuring the security of the Russian dictator,” he said.

Putin has no chance

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people is sure that the president of the aggressor country has no opportunity to assure his fans in the occupied Crimea that the peninsula, as the Russians previously claimed, is “forever included in Russia.”

“Everyone now realizes in Crimea that dismissal is inevitable. And so hundreds of thousands of people are waiting for this – Crimean Tatars, ethnic Ukrainians, other people who remain loyal to the Ukrainian state,” Chubarov said.

He noted that those who serve the invaders or settled on the temporarily occupied peninsula think about the liberation of Crimea with fear.
