MOSCOW, June 10. / TASS /. “Studio-OFF” of the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vl. Mayakovsky will present premieres of the play “Innovators”, which tells stories about the creators of computers, on June 10 and 11 at the Theater Stage on Sretenka. The press service of the theater reports.
“The play” Innovators “The Mayakovsky Theater dedicates itself to the Year of Science and Technology. The play tells about how advanced technologies actually arise, how the most creative innovators of our time turned crazy ideas into reality, how they competed and collaborated and why some succeeded. while others have failed, “the press service said.
The Mayakovka artists took part in the creation of the production under the direction of director Nikita Kobelev. Viewers will see documentary stories about computer geniuses from the 19th century to the end of the 20th century. Among the characters in the play are the first ever programmer Ada Lovelace, the daughter of the poet Byron, the first blogger of the 1990s, the creators of the first computers in the 1930s and 1940s, as well as famous entrepreneurs and inventors Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
The roles in the play will be performed by theater artists Alexei Sergeev, Evgeny Matveev, Zoya Kaidanovskaya, Natalia Palagushkina, Anastasia Mishina, Maxim Razumets, Ivan Vybornov, Roman Fomin, Vsevolod Makarov and others. Marius Jacovskis was in charge of the artistic part, and the choreography was staged by Katerina Nezvanova.
“Studio-OFF” is the first documentary theater studio at the repertoire theater. The principle of work of the studio is the absence of an initially ready-made text and the distribution of roles – everything arises in the process of work. “Novators” will be the studio's fourth project. Previously, its participants presented the performances of Nikita Kobelev “Nine to Ten”, “Decalogue on Sretenka” and “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat”.
