The Chinese company Xiaomi has boasted of the success of its most expensive top-end smartphone – the folding model with a flexible screen Mi Mix Fold. The first batch of the device sold out in just a minute. The exact number of gadgets was not specified, but the price of the batch was announced – 400 million yuan, which, at the current exchange rate, is about $ 61 million.
Taking into account that the cheapest version of the gadget is priced at 9999 yuan, and the most expensive – at 12,999 yuan, we can assume the size of the first batch is from 31,000 to 40,000 devices. Recall that the main, flexible screen Mi Mix Fold has 8.01 inches diagonally and a resolution of 2480 x 1860 pixels. Support for high dynamic range HDR10 + and Dolby Vision is declared.
The smartphone also received a second, external display – 6.52-inch with a resolution of 2520 x 840 pixels. Both screens are made using AMOLED technology. The foldable design, which will not surprise anyone, is far from the most interesting thing about the Mi Mix Fold. The highlight is the main camera with revolutionary liquid lens technology. Thanks to this solution, the local 8-megapixel sensor can act as a telephoto sensor with a 3x optical zoom or a macro sensor with a 30x optical zoom.
The main sensor of the main camera is a 108-megapixel Samsung HMX. There is also a 13-megapixel sensor with a 123-degree viewing angle. And Mi Mix Fold became the world's first smartphone with four speakers at once! The processor is the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Meanwhile, Microsoft has created a luxury custom computer in the form of an airplane turbine.
