The number of victims of the attack in Vienna increased to three people. This was stated by the head of the metropolitan police, RIA Novosti reports.
Another victim died in the hospital. The police also reported on the elimination of one of the attackers.
Earlier, Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said that the attack in the Austrian capital was carried out by at least one Islamist terrorist. One of the shooters in Vienna sympathized with the Islamic State (IS) organization banned in Russia.
On the evening of 2 November, several armed men opened fire in six different parts of Vienna. The first shots were fired at 20:00 local time (22:00 Moscow time) at the synagogue in the center of the capital. The security officials managed to shoot one of the attackers, later four were detained. The Austrian Interior Ministry proceeds from the fact that the incident was a terrorist attack.
