“Additional US forces in Europe may be sent to Ukraine to facilitate the evacuation. We don’t rule it out,” Kirby said. He called the purpose of the transfer of the US military units to facilitate evacuation.

Kirby assessed the current situation in Europe as requiring the strengthening of NATO’s eastern flank. For these purposes, the United States has already announced the dispatch of additional military forces to Poland, Romania and Germany.
