The President of Syria flew to Moscow: the political strategist suggested the results of the visit

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived on a visit to Russia. Thus, the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is trying with all his might to show the world that there are still people who shake his hand.

The result of the visit of the Syrian leader to Moscow may be some formal agreements between the countries. This opinion was voiced by political strategist Boris Tizenhausen to Channel 24 .

What to expect from Assad's visit to Moscow

During the meeting, the dictators can discuss and define a new axis of evil – Russia, Syria, Iran, North Korea and Belarus.

It will be something like Alexander Lukashenko's visit to Iran. He and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi discussed how the sanctions give them “additional opportunities” and how great life is for them. – noted the political strategist.

At the same time, Iran can only teach Belarus how to bypass the imposed sanctions. According to the political strategist, the meeting between Putin and Assad will be similar.

Note that Assad's visit to Moscow is the first since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of the territory of our state, as well as after powerful earthquakes in Syria. Before that, the dictators met in September 2021. The meeting is scheduled for March 15 on purpose, because on this date in 2011 the uprising in Syria began.

Xi Jinping may fly to Russia

  • According to CNN and Reuters, the Russian President is preparing for the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Moscow.
  • Journalists noted that the trip plans appeared against the background of the fact that China offered to become a “peace broker” in Ukraine. However, this was viewed with skepticism in the West due to Beijing's diplomatic support for Moscow.
  • The Wall Street Journal reported that after that, Xi Jinping plans to talk with Vladimir Zelensky for the first time since the start of the war in Ukraine. According to the publication, Xi's meeting with the Ukrainian leader will take place virtually.
  • Speaker of the Ukrainian President Sergei Nikiforov commented on a possible conversation between the two leaders. He noted that this is an unofficial notice and there is no additional information yet.
  • Journalist Roman Tsymbalyuk does not believe that Xi Jinping's visit will change anything. According to him, from a practical point of view, we should follow only one option – whether “Chinese Lend-Lease” will be opened. But he is sure that this does not make sense for China.
