The end of the war depends on many factors

It is clear that the decision of Russia itself, which launched a full-scale invasion on February 24, will influence the end of the war in Ukraine. The West should help accelerate this. And, as Zelensky emphasized, it is not about the personnel of the troops of other countries. Ukraine expects heavy weapons from the West. This is what will bring the end of the war closer. And such a step will show that Russia is not afraid.

Now in our country is one of the most tense moments, Zelensky added. Civilians are dying, soldiers are dying. But the war unleashed by the aggressor country will certainly end. And there will definitely be a negotiation process.

After the military unit, I am sure there will be a peace process. And there will be a negotiating table. And there will definitely be peace. The question is with whom Ukraine will negotiate. The question is with which Russian president Ukraine will negotiate. It also depends on the desire of the current president of Russia, Zelensky stressed.

Ukraine is not ready to sit down at the negotiating table now

The day before, Vladimir Zelensky called the condition under which Ukraine will sit down at the negotiating table with Russia . This will be possible only after the de-occupation of the territories that the aggressor country seized after February 24th. He emphasized this during an interview with the Japanese edition of NHK.

Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Alexei Arestovich told what they would do with the Donbass if negotiations with Russia still failed. He stressed that in this case, they would have to take their territories by military means. At the same time, it should be understood that the corresponding decision will entail many victims among Ukrainians.

Recall that on May 17 the suspension of negotiations was announced by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak. He stressed that our state took such a step because Russia would never understand that it was it that was the source of Nazism, which it is so aggressively fighting in Ukraine.
