Ukraine wants to change the criteria for booking conscripts during mobilization and martial law.

In general, it is planned in more detail clarify the list of citizens who can receive a deferment from conscription. The corresponding draft law No. 7687 has already been registered on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

What they want to change

The bill defines the conditions under which persons liable for military service working in state authorities, other state bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations are subject to reservation .

In particular, with the help of the document, they want to expand the list of institutions and enterprises whose employees are subject to reservation, if necessary.

Which employees can be subject to reservation

If the new bill is adopted, working people are subject to booking:

• in state authorities, other state bodies, local governments;
• in enterprises, institutions and organizations that have been proven mobilization tasks (orders);
• at enterprises, institutions and organizations that produce goods, perform work and provide defense services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in a special period;
• at enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical for the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population in a special period.

Such persons liable for military service are not subject to employment in the military reserve. The procedure and criteria for booking persons liable for military service for state authorities, other state bodies, local governments, enterprises, institutions and organizations for the period of mobilization and wartime are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
