The Russians have concentrated maximum efforts, - military expert on the strategic importance of Ugledar

The Ugledar direction remains one of the hottest sectors of the front. The Russian invaders concentrated their maximum efforts there, even the marines and special forces.

Yigal Levin, a military analyst and reserve officer of the Israel Defense Forces, spoke about this on Channel 24 . He is convinced that it is much more terrible for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to lose Ugledar than, for example, Bakhmut

Russians understand the importance of Ugledar

Levin noted that Ugledar is of key strategic importance. Railways and other important facilities are located in this direction. He believes that it is much more terrible for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to lose Ugledar than, for example, Bakhmut.

They (the Russians – Channel 24) also understand this very well, so not just forces, for example, the Wagnerites, were transferred there. There was a marine corps, their special unit, where, by the way, one of the commanders was liquidated,” he stressed.

The military analyst added that the occupying troops used a large number of tanks in the Ugledar direction.

“Sufficiently serious forces were concentrated there. This indicates that they themselves understood the importance of Ugledar and concentrated their maximum efforts,” says Levin.

Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the Russians near Ugledar

  • The Ukrainian Defense Forces defeated Russian troops near Vuhledar, which will go down in history books. The defeat of the invaders near Ugledar was the result of the flexible actions of our defenders in defense and the result of successful improvisations.
  • Defense24 writes that in order to attempt to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military near Vuhledar, the Russian army concentrated not only the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) of the Russian Navy, which was defeated there. Russia deployed the 40th Marine Brigade of the same Russian Pacific Fleet, as well as the terrorist formation “Cascade” and the “volunteer battalion” “Alga”, formed by the regional authorities of Tatarstan.
  • The Russian occupiers showed their “good theoretical training” in that they tried to organize attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian troops precisely with the “correction” for the possibility of using RAAM shells for remote laying of mines.
  • To pass our minefields, the Russians tried to act like a textbook: T-80s with trawls went forward, they were covered by BMP-3s and infantry. The process was coordinated with the help of a drone, which was a classic attempt to march in a column to storm our positions.
  • However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces acted flexibly, so they used not only RAAM, but also “classic” TM-62 mines. Considering that the exchange of data between artillery and observers on the front line, and from our drones was established in “real time mode”, our “gods of war” could constantly fire at enemy armored vehicles “stuck” in the “passage” through minefields. And when trying to get out of this “passage”, the Russians suffered additional losses, because their tanks and infantry fighting vehicles were blown up by Ukrainian TM-62s.
