The Russians have created a “digital army” and spread fakes that can sow panic among Ukrainians

One of the sources of fake comments has been identified.< /p>

The Russian Telegram channel “Digital Army of Russia” is engaged in the creation of fake comments and their distribution through citizens.

This is reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

” The authors of the channels call on the population of the Russian Federation to spread comments under the publications of Ukrainian channels that discredit the Ukrainian authorities, and spread panic among Ukrainians,” the CPI reports.

According to the source, the channel administrator gives a new task every day, and also attaches a link to a group with ready-made comments on the topic translated into Ukrainian. As soon as the preliminary channel is blocked, a new one is immediately created.

On the first day of February, the main topic was “mass purges in government and business”.

“The enemy is spreading the opinion that this will have a bad effect on the future of Ukraine, although in fact both Ukrainians themselves and Western politicians support this decision. Russians forget that changing positions of power for Ukrainians is the norm and progress, because on Russia's entire top politicians have not changed for decades,” writes the CPI.

We add that earlier the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council reported that comments had been circulating on the Web about the alleged cancellation of payments 30 thousand .UAH to the soldiers behind the lines.
