Travel planning service OneTwoTrip shared information about which tourism destinations Russians are most interested in in January, and also named the cheapest ones. This was reported by Gazeta.ru.

According to the analysis of requests, most often Russian tourists in the period from 10 to 31 January plan flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Ufa. As for travel by train, residents and guests of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar are most often looking for tickets for them.

For Muscovites, the cheapest options for air travel destinations are Kaluga (from 1200 rubles), Pskov (on average about 1600 rubles), as well as Krasnodar and Mineralnye Vody (about 1900 rubles). The residents of the capital can make the cheapest train journeys to Kaluga (530 rubles), Kursk (750 rubles) and Nizhny Novgorod (850 rubles).

The cheapest plane tickets for those living in St. Petersburg are sold to Moscow (2,000 rubles) and Elista (2,100 rubles). By train, the cheapest tickets are to Pskov (730 rubles), Tver (820 rubles), as well as to Moscow and Yaroslavl (950 rubles).

Earlier, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze spoke about the forecast for outbound tourism in 2022. According to her, now enough countries have already been opened to restore affordable foreign tourism, but only Turkey and Egypt are affordable. “Everything else is expensive,” she complained.
