Common graves in Mariupol/Channel 24 collage the fourth place of mass grave of people.

New mass grave in Mariupol

This was found out by the journalists of Schemes, they analyzed satellite images Maxar and came to the conclusion that this mass grave appeared in early March.

Earlier, an adviser to the mayor, Petr Andryushchenko, said in his telegram channel that the city council had received information about burials at the historical cemetery “Necropolis”, this is the second mass grave of Mariupol residents at this cemetery.

Journalists were able to confirm this information and established the exact location of the grave. Satellite imagery shows two trenches. One of them reaches more than 30 meters in length. It was possible to establish when the burials appeared – in early March, but the exact date is unknown.

Exact place of burial

Schemes journalists recalled that on March 10, a journalist from the Azerbaijani edition of APA TV, Ilagh Valiyeva, posted on her Facebook page a video with a mass grave of Mariupol residents, however, she did not indicate where it was posted. Analyzing the video, Schemes journalists were able to confirm that it was the territory near the historical Necropolis cemetery in the central part of Mariupol.

Video footage shows the dome of St. Nicholas Cathedral, a tall chimney in Levitan Lane, and roofs utility rooms behind the fence.

This is already the 4th mass grave site that has been found in Mariupol using satellites. Experts fear that there may be many more.
