Heavy fighting continues in eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defense Forces manage to make great efforts to repel enemy attacks and control the front.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov spoke about this on his YouTube channel, writes Channel 24 . He said that the Russians near Bakhmut had reached the limit of their capabilities and now their forces were on the wane.
A difficult situation remains in the Bakhmut direction. The enemy is actively storming Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Bogdanovka.
According to Zhdanov, fierce fighting continues in the city itself, the Russians are trying to break into the city center.
However, our forces are holding the line,” the speaker added.
The situation is stabilizing
On March 24, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that thanks to the titanic efforts of the Ukrainian army, the situation in the Bakhmut direction was stabilized.
That is, we not only repulse attacks and hold defensive lines, but we inflict such a volume of defeat on the enemy, such losses that the number of attacks from their side begins to gradually decrease. – commented the military expert.

Fighting in the Donetsk region: what is known
- During March 25, the invaders launched 34 air and 4 missile strikes, carried out more than 70 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, in particular, on civilian infrastructure. As a result of shelling, civilians were injured.
- In addition, the invaders are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. On them, our soldiers repelled more than 85 attacks of the invaders.
- Military expert Roman Svitan believes that the Russians will make attempts to attack on a large scale with the help of heavy equipment on Ugledar from Volnovakha, as well as on Kupyansk, Svatovo and Kremennaya from Russian Valuyki.
- The Ukrainian government calls on the residents of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region to urgently leave the city. After all, the Russians are shelling residential areas and civilian infrastructure there. Despite this, about 1,900 people still remain in Avdiivka.
